Steve Kortenkamp, Ph.D.

Associate Professor of Practice
Teaching Teams Faculty Supervisor

Dr. Kortenkamp leads the Teaching Teams program and teaches astronomy classes in the Flandrau Planetarium. Dr. Kortenkamp received UA's College of Science Innovations in Teaching award and is a prolific author of children's science books. He is also currently working on a NSF project to develop new astronomy teaching techniques for blind students.

Teaching Teams Instructional Specialist/Program Coordinator

Mrs. Edwards works alongside Dr. Kortenkamp within the Teaching Teams Program. She holds a Bachelor's in Information Science & eSociety from the University of Arizona, and is a current UArizona graduate student, pursing a Master's in Healthcare Management with a concentration in Healthcare Innovation (Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Quality and Reliability). During her undergraduate career, she also minored in Professional Development within Higher Education. Outside of academics, Edwards volunteers to teach local K-12 students how to stay active through the sport of baton twirling. She is also a proud dog mom of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

Kayli Glidic

Teaching Teams Preceptor

Kayli is a Senior at the University of Arizona. She is majoring in Physics and Astronomy, as well as minoring in Planetary Sciences. Kayli became a part of the Teaching Teams Program to connect with students and build their confidence in their professional skills. Kayli loves listening to music, spending time with her family, and walking with her dogs. 

As a former Junior and Senior Intern within the program, Kayli has expertise in student development. 

Ashley Register

Teaching Teams Preceptor

Ashley is a Junior at the University of Arizona. She is majoring in both Care, Health, and Society and Spanish, with a minor in Business Administration. Ashley is thrilled to be a part of the Teaching Teams Program. She enjoys empowering students and helping them to build their professional skills. Ashley loves reading, dancing, and meeting new people.

As a former Junior and Senior Intern within the Program, Ashley has expertise in student development. 

Blythe Giddings

Teaching Teams Senior Intern

Blythe Giddings is a Senior at the University of Arizona. Blythe is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Religious Studies. She is happy to be a member of the Teaching Teams because it gives her the opportunity to help students build their professional skills in order to make them more comfortable moving into their career field. 
Outside of the Teaching Teams, she enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family.

Desiree is a Senior at the University of Arizona. She is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Criminology. Desiree became a part of the Teaching Teams Program to help students build their professional skills in a fun and creative way. Desiree loves crime podcasts/shows, gardening, and spending time with her family/friends.


Frank Acosta

Teaching Teams Junior Intern

Frank is a Senior Psychological Sciences major at the University of Arizona. He is a Junior Intern with the Teaching Teams Program and is excited to be one. Frank enjoys working with students and helping them learn and understand various subject materials. In his spare time, Frank loves to read, watch movies, and play games of various types.


Morgan Beckendorf

Morgan is a Sophomore at the University of Arizona. She is majoring in Psychology, with a minor in Family Studies and Human Development. She is excited to be a part of the Teaching Teams Program to help students build their presentation and professional skills. Morgan loves to play the guitar, read and visit the planetarium here at the University. 


Victoria Breckenridge

Victoria is a Senior at the University of Arizona studying for a major in Psychology with minors in Philosophy and Religious Studies. Victoria enjoys encouraging others to share and develop their personal skills. 
During her free time, she enjoys making art, gardening and baking.
