Dr. Kortenkamp leads the Teaching Teams program and teaches astronomy classes in the Flandrau Planetarium. Dr. Kortenkamp received UA's College of Science Innovations in Teaching award and is a prolific author of children's science books.

He is also currently working on a NSF project to develop new astronomy teaching techniques for blind students. This project includes the development of tactile 3D models, which you can learn about here.

Teaching Teams Lead Instructor, Instructional Specialist 

Edwards holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Management (MHM) from the University of Arizona Eller College of Management. Within her Master's program, she completed a concentration in Healthcare Innovation (Marketing Strategy, Quality & Reliability, and Entrepreneurship). Edwards also completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona, earning a Bachelor's in Information Science & eSociety (minoring in Professional Development within Higher Education).

From 2013 - 2018, Edwards served as a national spokesperson for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, giving her a unique and personal perception on public speaking, lecturing, and presenting. Outside of academics, Edwards volunteers to teach local K-12 students how to stay active through the sport of baton twirling. She is also a proud dog mom of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

Jorge is a Sophomore at the University of Arizona. He is currently double majoring in Physiology and Medical Sciences and Spanish. He plans to apply to medical school and go into the field of Emergency Medicine.

Jorge enjoys interacting with other students and providing useful feedback. He is passionate in assisting others with anything Teaching Teams related and giving the necessary skills to succeed both in and out of the classroom. In his free time, Jorge enjoys spending time with his friends and finding new places to eat in the Tucson area.

Jay is a current Senior at the University of Arizona studying for a BA in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies. They grew up an hour outside of Chicago in Naperville, IL before moving to Tucson for college in 2020. This is their second year with the Teaching Teams program. Jay loves to both listen and make music on the side while they are not frantically studying in the library. They are also the current Vice President of RELIC - the Religious Studies Club on campus - while working as a Resident Assistant in Villa de la Puente.

Graham Is a psychology BA major, with a minor in sociology. He plans to graduate this spring and attend clinical psychology graduate school.

Graham was born and raised in Tucson, and spent his first two years of college at NAU. Since transferring to the U of A, Graham has delved deeper into the more advanced subjects of psychology. He is passionate about helping others, this includes Teaching Team students. In free time he enjoys biking, creating music and enjoying time with friends.
