Testimonials

I have seen in the past few months that my work is better when I start it earlier. So whereas I may not yet be the perfect, procrastination-free student, I have improved a great deal from where I once was. I can finally say that I am proud of the work I have done.

Welcome UA Community!

The Teaching Teams Program (TTP) operates across the University of Arizona campus to improve student learning. We do this through an organized collaboration of Faculty, Graduate Teaching Assistants and student peer assistants we call Preceptors. These three groups combine to form a Teaching Team. The purpose of the Teaching Team is to help students become more involved with Faculty and TAs to transform passive lectures to active learning opportunities.

This website is new as of July 2008. We will be adding information to this space soon that should be of interest to the entire campus community. At the moment though, our information is currently tailored to Faculty, Students , and Academic Advisors.

If you would like to understand how our program works, the Faculty and Student sections of our site explain the program from the different viewpoints of faculty and students. If you have further questions about TTP, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We will be updating this site regularly with case studies of how different faculty put TTP to work in courses ranging from General Education courses with 500 students to specialized seminars with only 20 students. We also will be sharing information on how this Preceptor concept is getting applied at universities across the country, so check back often for updates.
